Hello I'm Katelyn!
My life has been, and continues to be, one of self-improvement toward achieving my ultimate potential. To that end, I have amassed a wealth of knowledge about exercise and nutrition that helps in achieving one’s personal and professional fitness goals. Sharing that knowledge to help others achieve their goals and potential inspires me to constantly learn more. My tag line of “Climb Your Mountain” is all about achieving your own personal objectives, and recognizes that everyone has their own unique situation, challenges and goals.
My Story
I always had an active mind, body and spirit from the time I was very young. As scientist by nature, I was drawn to activities that combined physical movements and arts-sports, performing arts, martial arts—where a balance of mind, body and spiritual growth could be pursued and mastered to achieve one’s goals and potential. Over the course of my life, I have dabbled in many sports to see which ones I like the best—-snowboarding, basketball, tennis, soccer, bowling, ice skating and others. One of the sports I got serious about was Tae Kwon Do where I was able to achieve a 2nd degree black belt. Upon climbing that mountain I turned to swimming where I earned a spot in the Junior Olympics. Always looking for a challenge, I moved on to Cross County competitions.
My health and fitness provided me with a figure and glow that was in demand in the high fashion industry, so I pursued high-fashion modeling for a number of years. I had agents in both San Francisco and New York City/Manhattan that got me involved in photo shoots all across the country. All of these experiences taught me that I could develop various skills and physical attributes through different training methods and nutritional programs.
However, I learned that in each of my previous endeavors, when I had to develop a certain skill or body characteristic to be successful in that sport or performing art, I had to sacrifice in other areas. Being somewhat of a perfectionist by nature, I then turned to the sport of body-building because I could work on perfecting all aspects of my body and health without sacrificing in any one area. In my bodybuilding pursuits, I learned more about nutrition science than ever before, and learned more about different training methods that produce various desired results. I entered my first bodybuilding show in June 2022 which was a Pro/Am show in McLean, Virginia. The “Figure” category was a great starting point based on my previous years of modeling, and I came in 1st place as an Amateur. My showing qualified me to compete in my first National level show in New Jersey the following month. If I placed 1st or 2nd at the National show, it would qualify me as an International Female Body Building (IFBB) Professional which would allow me to compete in Professional shows.

As my journey to the top of my mountain continued I realized that I could help others climb their mountains as well. This lead me to start this site to drive my own continual improvement but to also assist people in achieving their goals!
